She Was Already Drop Dead Gorgeous!

Let's face it, the Nissan Skyline GTR R34 is a stunning looking car no matter what angle you look at it from. Add the irresistible RB26DETT and add 4wd and you have yourself a winning formula for fun.

The Hotwheels casting of the R34 is actually very impressive -certainly a damn sight better than their attempts at the R35 (what's that all about Mattel?) but I digress.
The Road Trippin' series that included the Hako and the Skyline (and sent JDM fans and Hotwheels collectors crazy) is probably one of the nicest versions of the R34 that mattel have released in a while.
Great colour, awesome matte black bonnet and some excellent tampos (decals) to finish the look. Those wheels though...

TE37 by Rays Wheels

There is a particular mainline wheel that Hotwheels release, usually in hard to find limited run lots like the designer challenge series, called CM6s and they look very similar to one of the most popular and widely used wheels in the aftermarket/performance/JDM scene, that being Rays TE37s (pictured here for your reference:)

If you can find the CM6s and you are willing to pull the car on which they live apart (go on, do it!) then you have yourself a really nice wheel for your next JDM or slammed custom. But don't take my word for it, I'll let the photos do the talking...
