Welcome to the fifteenth installment of My Your Custom Hotwheels – Episode 15, March 13, 2018.
Every month (give or take) I showcase the finest customs I find around Facebook and Instagram, collating them all into one article so you can get your monthly fix of custom hot wheels and diecast car porn all in one place. This isn’t about My Custom Hotwheels, it’s about Yours

Your Custom Hot Wheels Episode 15
This episode focuses solely on Instagram and more specifically, next level badassery (yes that’s totally a word). There is a combination of diorama/outdoor shots from talented folk like @HotRod_Crazy as well as some detailed engine and other component work from @Carllector and @TJ__Garage (to name a few) that will genuinely blow your mind. So sit back and relax… oh who’m I kidding, you’ll be sitting bolt upright swearing at your phone or computer screen at the ridiculousness of some of these customs, but regardless of how you choose to view them – enjoy the show and of course make sure you are following ALL of the talented customisers presented today.
I’d also like to send a special shout out to @FNLCustoms as many of the customs (and their creators) were sourced from the latest Friday Night Likes Customs Contest. To Seth and Chris, thanks for keeping it real while continually raising the bar for the rest of your customising brethren. Hashtag Respect! … and make sure you are following them if you are not already!!

an example of the quality of work coming through @FNLCustoms. I am unsure of the creator of this amazing piece, please update me if you are the owner or know who it is. I’m usually pretty good at this but some slip through the cracks
Let’s start with the custom I chose for the feature image of this post – a creation by @impala_hvh that is so creative and well made that only the pictures can do it justice… and let’s be honest, even they probably don’t capture the true beauty of this piece. (they never do!)
And now back to our regular viewing…
As always, these customs are in no particular order and although there are over 120 epic photos to follow, there are only a handful of customisers being showcased – such was the level and variety of their work. Aaaaand let’s begin proceedings with a couple of talented individuals who are no strangers to the pages of MCH …
Sharon Tarshish aka @SharonTarshish
Sharon is one talented customiser and has continuously raised the bar for himself and everyone else in the game. Contributing on numerous occasions here at MCH he has not only been spotlighted before but has also shared his wealth of knowledge on adjustable suspension for 1/64 scale diecast cars. This latest batch of customs from Mr Tarshish provides a little diorama action on top of the already amazing custom creations.
Gram Spina aka @Hotrod_Crazy
Another regular contributor, Gram shows us once again that you don’t need to customise anything to make it to the pages of MCH. Amazing real life diorama captures from the young man who has already shared some great diorama how to guides – check them out HERE
Pat Thompson aka @100LittleCars
According to his IG profile Pat was a mechanic and auto detailer for about 15 years and is a customiser as well as a trusted seller and trader.
According to me and the rest of the customising community he is a badass customiser and an all round nice guy. I’ll let some of his custom work do the talking.
Gulf anyone?….
Douglas Cheung aka @Carllector
Doug actually lives less than 20km away from me (probably under 10 actually) and yet I’ve never tried to hook up for a mutual build or anything of the like!?! … After seeing where Doug is taking 1:64 customising I think that will change very soon!
@Carllector has featured regularly on MCH because of his highly detailed and brilliantly put together custom cars, but today I am featuring so much of his work that it is bordering on being a customiser spotlight post and not a Your Custom Hot Wheels feature. He has contributed before, sharing a very popular post on how to mould your own engine parts and wheels etc, and Doug has clearly taken this to another level completely…throwing out the mould and going straight to the ‘I’ll just make everything from styrene, putty, and aluminium wire’ Because, yeah – that’s SOOOO much easier. Wait! What?
Like the recently featured work of @TJ__Garage, the level of detail and craftsmanship involved will deadset blow your mind. I know mine’s just a puddle of grey matter at this point. Enjoy 🙂
Gabby aka @TJ__Garage
Since we are in the process of picking up pieces of our brain from the floor after seeing Doug’s work above, let’s continue the trend of blowing minds with a look at some of the more recent work from TJ – the attention to detail is on another level completely!
Miika Thoeun aka @Ratchet_Girl
Miika is an incredibly talented customiser – one of a handful of ladies that bring a touch of class to the game, but nothing I can say in introduction can top her own words, as spoken on IG:
“I fall face first into jelly donuts and nap randomly”
I think that sums it up and so I’ll just let Ratchet Girl’s custom work do the talking. Oh and note that I will be featuring more of Miika’s work in an upcoming Customiser Spotlight post.
Shingo ‘Hakotora’ aka @Decepcionez
As well as owning the most badass JDM ute I’ve ever seen Shingo makes some of the most out of this world customs (literally in some instances) and out of the box creations. Some of those creations came about because of inspiration from another artist – one who has never customised a diecast car in his life. It’s actually a really cool story so I’ll begin with that.
First things first, this is Shingo’s actual 1:1 scale car (I mention scale because the TH stickers might throw you :p )
So Shingo was inspired by the work of another artist who actually renders cars in photoshop and the resulting creation from @Decepcionez looked something like this:
And the artist in question @latetedanslecul was so impressed by this creation (who wouldn’t be?!) that he made a rendering of Shingo’s actual car…
And then Shingo, being obviously impressed back decided to return the favour directly and produced this as a gift for @latetedanslecul…
…because when artist’s are inspired by each other, magic happens 🙂
Some more crazy ‘out of the box’ customs from the ever talented @Decepcionez
AJ aka @Hotwheez_Theory
Apparently AJ is just ‘some dude customising’ but clearly ‘some dude’ knows what they are doing because ‘some dude’ is pretty fucking talented – if you’ll excuse my french 😉
@Bugi_e7_Customs
Customs that are as shiny and detailed as they are badass!

Loving the rear view mirror!
@Nezto_Kuztoms
Nezto is one seriously talented customiser but he’s also a top bloke AND the best place to source WHITE INK DECALS – because even my own cool decal store cannot supply white toner ink decals. Sucks to be me….but not to be you because Nezto can hook a brother up!
I have not sourced many customs from Nezto today, in fact there are only a couple – with the main focus being on his badass creation for @FNLCustoms contest. *The fact this build did not win speaks volumes for the level of craftsmanship of the vehicles entered.
David Andrade aka @330_Coupe
David is in danger of getting Type 2 Diabetes what with all the sweet kandy he keeps soaking his customs in! It’s hard not to notice the work of @330_Coupe in your feed because of the amazing spectraflame and kandy colours he applies to his customs. Of course the decal work and attention to detail helps too 😉
More incredible customs from some seriously talented customizers…
Sean aka @WitheredCustoms – a regular here at MCH. Hasn’t got his own parking space yet and keeps bitching and moaning about it though.

@Witheredcustoms aka Sean is as talented with the camera and lighting as he is with the drill and paintbrush
Aaron aka @HooptyWagon
Diorama inspired 1:64 diecast Art
I was going to finish this episode with some diorama inspired photos that have caught my eye or impressed me so over the last few weeks. However after reviewing the images, many a tribute to the amazing 1:64 world that @NCR_Garage has built I decided to dedicate a whole new Your Custom Hotwheels to it – so stay tuned for the upcoming Diorama Edition of Your Custom Hotwheels.
In the meantime I hope you enjoyed the selection of customs and be sure to follow their creators on Instagram and/or Facebook
Awesome detailed set of 1:64 die cast creatures.
