We’re back baby! Finally now that I am back in the groove (of publishing content at least) it means we will be having regular episodes of Your Custom Hotwheels – the time when it’s not about My Custom Hotwheels, it’s about Yours – and boy have you guys and gals delivered!
I am actually slowly getting back into the customising game and have a couple of hopefully epic builds to be able to share with you in the coming weeks. Both are Ferrari’s and I plan on molesting them even more than when I turned a 288GTO into a Tow truck
Every fortnight (that’s 2 weeks for my US friends… not the online video game that my son is obsessed with) the team here at MCH showcase the finest 1/64 scale customs found on Instagram and Facebook, collating them all into one article so you can get your fortnightly fix of custom hot wheels and diecast car porn all in one place. This isn’t about My Custom Hotwheels, it’s about Yours…oh wait, I already used that catchphrase damnit! (meh, backspace is eluding me at the moment so you get double the catchphrase action today)
The Game Has Changed – But the Rules are the Same
One thing I can say is that it has been incredible to see the caliber of work that is now coming through Instagram and Facebook recently. The game truly has changed and with the addition of 3D printed parts and guys scratch building everything … and of course there are some new big players on the table and they have continued to raise the bar to a point where I am secretly glad I am sitting on the sidelines sometimes. (I’m talking about you boys at Jakarta Diecast Project especially!)
It seems the days of basic wheel swaps seem lost to us. While this may be the case, the rules of said game have definitely not changed and Your Custom Hotwheels will always be a section created for the people, by the people. Yes I will always continue to share the most incredible works from the top builders, but I will also include basic wheel swaps and repaint customs that I find appealing. This is because we all started somewhere and Your Custom Hotwheels is about including EVERYBODY IN THE GAME – regardless of what level you are at.
So with that in mind I present to you 120 or so of the latest creations that have made us go “Dayummmm” in some way shape or form. If you aren’t following these guys then head over to Instagram and ensure your feed is always full of 1:64 scale diorama and custom diecast goodness.
As usual these are in no particular order … in fact even the ones that should go together are jumbled up because my website hates me and insists on uploading the images in the most sporadically random way possible. That being said I have tried to keep them in some semblance of order because in some cases I have also provided the WIP image so you can see just how much work has gone into some of these builds.
Your Custom Hot Wheels – June 2023
*The majority of these customs were found using the hashtag #MyCustomHotwheels as well as #customhotwheels so be sure to tag your next creation and add to the 100,000 (and growing) already using this tag
I should also point out that whilst many of these are not customs, the photos and dioramas they were placed in were equally impressive and as such deserved a place here as well.
Oh and one more thing – I have since reached out to a few of the guys here who have multiple features and requested that I interview them and feature their work exclusively as part of the Customiser Spotlight series, so watch this space. Hopefully I can even get the team from Jakarta Diecast Project to share some of their secrets with us 🙂
Remember to give these guys a follow and of course, please go ahead and share this post on your social feeds so others can enjoy salivating over the 1:64 goodness contained within 🙂
